Bought a house- no water coming from taps/toilets

    Hi, I just bought a house. It isn't a new build. I went into the house yesterday and there was no water coming from the taps or toilets. Can you tell me, do I need to set a new connection or something? It is a townhouse, and supposed to be connect to mains water.

    Could be either turned off at the inlet valve coming in to the house usually located beneath the kitchen sink or else outside at the mains valve. If it was me I would check under the kitchen sink first, turn on the cold tap and then underneath turn the valve opposite way to which it is turned, if you see water coming out problem solved, if not go out to the mains valve and turn. If there's a water meter fitted outside the tool to turn on/off the water is normally stored within it, if it's a more old time setup you will need either a specialist tool available from the likes of Woodies or local builders providers or else might be able to use a socket set to turn it.
