Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

really hope he just gave that as a confidence boost for rashford?

Why would he need a confidence boost - he scored a hattrick recently - if anyone needs a confidence boost it would be Martial.

Giving up the chance to score a hattrick - would be do that it was a league game?

Knowing my luck he'll be off penalties if I bring him in this weekend.

I don't know Ace. Maybe the canteen lady fcked up his dinner and he was fummminggg and Bruno was like her you go mate.

You didn't get rashers for dinner so this is for you rashers.

But what I do know is I don't need the headache of Bruno not on pens :pac:

All this giving away penalties craic seems a bit soft if you ask me! If you're on them, just take the bloody thing. I don't see how scoring a sympathy pen does anything for someone's confidence either.

So apparently Bruno told Rashford that he could take the next one, regardless of when it was.

Chelsea won 2-1 ; Hudson-Odoi (Mount), Giroud (Werner)

Chilwell, Zouma and Werner all played 90 minutes. Ziyech and Havertz both played 16 minutes and James got a couple of minutes at the end.

Man United won 4-1 ; Fernandes with 2 goals, Rashford with a converted penalty and a late James goal. Telles and Greenwood with assists.

Fernandes and Rashford both played 58 minutes and Martial played 81 minutes.

Maybe some day if Bruno's not there, it would be good to have somebody feeling good about taking one. I guess taking and scoring a penalty would almost certainly be good for your confidence when taking the next one.

I'd say he would have given it up anyway. I don't think he would see the Champions League goal as being any lesser in the way that us FPL heads would see it.

Imagine the collective uproar if he'd given Saturday evening's one up.

As a rashford captainer with no bruno I would have been a very happy camper.

Or if Rashford took on the retaken penalty and scored. I think I'd have retired in disgust :D

Should be a rule that any penalty retaken has to be be taken by the same player. can't remember what game it was where it was changed for the retake.

SUBS | Steffen, Carson, Aguero, Zinchenko, Laporte, Torres, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Garcia, Nmecha, Doyle, Palmer

Not too pleased at seeing Cancelo in the line up. Was strongly considering him for the weekend.

It was Palace, Zaha took the retake. Can’t remember who missed the first.

Given he was married to Maradona’s daughter (and they have a son together), is there any risk of him taking a few days compassionate leave for the funeral?

There’s a chance, but I think when you see the likes of Aurier playing the day after his young brother was murdered, the chance is high of him playing on Saturday if fit.

His fitness would be the bigger question still for me.

Doubtful that Kelleher is ahead of Adrian, although it is a strange game to give him, unless Adrian isn't fully fit, and Klopp is afraid that Adrian gets injured and he's down to bear bones for the league.

If Kelleher does well tonight, he might keep his place. He surely can't be any worse than Adrian.

Think Kelleher was picked as Adrian is ****e. If he does well tonight, he'll most likely replace Adrian as number 2

Jota is probably next for a rest but he might just play all of them from the start and rest Jota in the champions league next week. I think Jota will have a point to prove against Wolves.
