landrover chassis, logbook wanted

    Hi all, Im restoring a series 3 that my late father started. So far has parts from 3 different vehicles. Prob is i dont know where the chassis originally came from. Need a chassis, logbook or both for pre 82 landrover .
    Anything considered.

    I would have thought the Department of Transport,Tourism and Sport issue registration certs if you know the chassis number?

    Contacted them, they have no record, dvla are not much help

    A few address's to write to to check on a chassis number.

    I should add if the vehicle was Irish Land Rovers were registered under several different categories on the National Vehicle File years ago and it may need a bit of " interpretation" to match a chassis number with a land rover. PM me for more info

    well I would use the details of any one of the three, you may as well, people have often just used the logbook and no actual car parts to re-register a newer vehicle, and you have three possible genuine candidates!
