Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Outwell Nevada 5 Tent

    wonder if anybody on here has Nevada 5 2016 tent from outwell and if so can you advise what size replacement poles I need to order. They are duratec poles. I’ve contacted outwell and various other camping suppliers and can’t get an answer.

    Dome sections are 12.7(13) and 11mm and 8.5(9)mm for peak over door.

    How many sections do you need to replace? I need a 12.7 section for a Nevada mp that's currently wrapped with duct tape.

    Outwells own spare kits only come in for one size so you'd have to buy a more than one if you need more than one size. You need to cut them to length too. Go outdoors were well priced for them last time I checked but in store only so means a trip to Belfast.

    Tentspares do a kit with a mix of sizes if you just need to replace sections. Shipping is €21 though. I'll probably go with them my self though hand to have a few extra spares.

    Thanks for your reply. I couldn’t for the life of me find the specs anywhere and the crowd I bought it from couldn’t help either. Eventually I got a reply from outwell as follows;
    “Your poles consist of 12.7mm for the "legs", and 11mm for the roof segments. What we recommend is to get a 12.7mm kit, and if you have a roof pole break, you replace all the roof segments with 12.7mm.

    This will result in a pole of only 12.7mm segments, and spares of both diameters for your repair kit. Ensuring the total length ends up the same is the important part when changing segments.”.

    So I went ahead and ordered the 12.7mm. Cost €50 incl a quick delivery. No more duct tape for us 🀪
