    When did the rank and file know that the maneuvers was actually to be a rising?

    It seems that quite a few had known the week before.

    The leaders didn't want a repeat of the Fenian Rising where the large quantity of men going to confession tipped off the English.

    I can't find out anything about when the order was actually given, is it likely that it would have just passed around outside Liberty Hall? Those who knew telling the others it was the real deal.

    I have been looking through my books here and I can't find anything about this. What was their reaction? Were they all up for it? Anybody know of a book where someone talks about this?
