Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jimmy has a tricky blue in and out of baulk, back in position.

    Looking ominous now

    Ken will be absolutely sickened.

A nice birdie for Minjee Lee on hole 3

Good on her. BBC are the Kings of comedy, it's only round 3 highlights as well

All over, Jimmy completes the comeback

Poor old Ken. Some win for Jimmy all the same

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,477 ✭✭✭AllForIt

Jimmy plays a risky position shot on a red, hoping to luck he'll finish good on a color. Potted a baulk color, back in the red, and pots a red with the rest.

That's it. Talk about a game of two halves

It's over, Jimmy pots a long red to the yellow pocket.

Fair play to Jimmy. Some comeback. Will be hard to take for Ken.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,477 ✭✭✭AllForIt

That was some comeback by Jimmy.

I don't get why Ken seemed to loss it when he was so far ahead.

Jimmy will be elated with this win.

Great comeback by Jimmy. Disappointed for Ken.

Ah well, every cloud and all, it'll be another 'funny story' for Ken next time he's on the Late Late; he doesn't have too many..

The BBC cut their 5 channel Red Button service years ago. No wonder the UK public are sick of them, putting money into their other rubbish instead.

Why not show this golf live??

Can't see BBC getting much grief over cutting the snooker short, not as if there's any advocacy groups for "Snooker watching minorities with little or no Internet, or Computer savviness"

Feel more sorry for odds on backers than Ken. His own fault - he threw it away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,477 ✭✭✭AllForIt

I do admire Rob Walkers enthusiasm for the sport of snooker even though I've criticized his style in the past.

A shout out goes to AllForIt for providing stellar commentary at business end. Ta.

Well, it was not Jimmy that bottled it this time, Ken did. I know shot's with the rest aren't easy, but that blue over the pocket wasn't that hard to get at least a hand on the table chance to pot the pink. If he closed his eyes he would have gotten better position on it.

If Rob Walker can do it, I can do it lol

I think you and I should officially do the BBC snooker commentary. Total piss take, since the BBC seems to think it's all a joke.

We want 'box seats' at the very least :)

Plus, all the apps & I players installed, as well as all the high tech cameras and microphones and state of the art laptops provided, for live Skyping and the like, if we favour WFH.

Won't be greedy on pay though - A thousand Sterling per match would do.

I'm thinking of commentating for the Spanish Eurosport channel.

My Espanol is not that good but I'm sure I can go,

    Uno

    Dos

    Tres

What a joke - I haven't changed the 'red button' channel, and they're showing a 'Madness' concert now - for at least the third time this week :pac: - and yet they can't delay the Women's golf highlights for 20 or 25 minutes.

That sucks. I think the BBC with it's 'equality' directive played a part in that editorial decision.

edit: I've never met a woman interested in pub pool/snooker or any cue sports or tennis or golf in my life. Maybe that's just my life, but in my 'lived experience', woman aren't naturally drawn to these kinds of individual sports. It's all stinks of this what a man can do a woman can do narrative.

Murphy nails last nights broadcasting fiasco. Of course Murphy lives in Ireland now where unless you're a bit tech savvy you can't access iPlayer.

Ken has been offered a 2 year invitational tour card.

Good for Ken. Pride of Dublin

No word of one for Jimmy

That's good news. Watching the Seniors I realised how much I missed Ken on the tour. He's an enjoyable player to watch even if he's not one of the all time ultra greats.
