Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    isnt the whole thing over?
if people want to discuss how hold a "girl" or a "teeny" is would they not be better in humanities or something?
people have already given definitions of the terms already,so why are people still dragging it up.

Nude 15 year olds, that is... although the law in Ireland only seems to cover the possession of child pornography. (http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/1998/en/act/pub/0022/sec0006.html#zza22y1998s6)

Would viewing a nude 15 year old qualify as possession of child pornography?

    I'm not sure.

I'm just making these points for the OP, whose boyfriend got really upset. And also to those who said he must be lying.

It is illegal to look at girls on the internet that are 15 as it is to sleep with them in real life. My point is that everyone has there own opinion as to what "very young girls" means. It obviously made the OP suspect her OH. I don't think she should be critiscised for having a completely normal reaction.
It is indeed illegal but not paedophilic - because voluptuous, sexualised 15-year-olds are womanly, not childlike. As I said, it would be paedophilic if he was looking up small girls who should be playing with skipping ropes.

A fifteen year old is a child. A man who fancies a fifteen year old has problems.
Actually no, it's normal for a man to fancy a 15-year-old girl who's really sexualised and voluptuous - i.e. a 15-year-old girl who looks more like a woman than a child. And there are plenty of them. The idea of it is not appealing, but it's a reality. The law is there for a reason.
Now if a guy fancied an under-developed, scrawny 15-year-old who looked about 11 then yes, that would be weird.

interestingly, the legal age for pornography is 18, whereas in many countries, including this one, the age of consent falls under the age of 18. I believe in most of the United states the age of consent is ~15/16. In many countries 14.

Ok, I didn't do any more nosing through his computer. I told him I saw what he was looking up and I listed the 'teenies' etc. He knows I don't mind porn so he was kind of laughing it off when I was saying it.

Until.. I mentioned the 'very young girls' and asked him what exactly he was looking for. I said that in my opinion very young girls are children. He nearly dropped dead with shock at the suggestion that he was looking for child images. I swear, the tears welled in his eyes as he tried to explain to me that it was just a 'teenage' thing he was going through and that there was nothing sinister in the search. He didn't even deny it was him or say it was one of the other lads. I feel that if he had something to hide, he may have denied that he did the search.

He was hurt that I would even consider that he would be looking for anything other than legal porn. He was pleading with me, did I really think he was into that sh*t? That I must know that he's not like that, that he'd never 'interfere with' or 'force himself' on anyone no matter what age they were and that he has no interest in looking at naked children.

Housemate came in at this point so it was left up in the air.

He brought it up again later and said that I had to know that it was innocent. It was. Gut instinct told me originally (but I couldn't help but wonder and wanted to find out other people's views) and his reaction during the conversation told me. He even said that some search he did brought up an image of an anorexic that nearly made him sick so it's mainstream pornsites (if there's such a thing! like redtube) from here on on, no more googling..

    Thanks for the viewpoints. Phew.

Congratulations. If you were my girlfriend, i'd break up with you for thinking I'm a pedophile. I know all sorts of people whether they be judges, doctors or binmen get caught for child pornography...but because he typed in that saying and you thought what you did has to surely make him think your simply fuc$ed in the head...because that is what I would be thinking and i'd be saying Adios to you...

Yeah I went to *that much effort* to make a point in a thread on Boards.ie

Eh, would that not be considered complete paedophilia?

Eh, no I don't think so. Peadophilia is an attraction to the pre-pubescent and girls of 17-18 are hardly pre-pubescent. Looking at girls in their late teens is completely different than looking at little girls.
