Anybody here live in Wexford? Two duties by my local Order of Malta (I'm a volunteer) today in the same locality were told to "**** off" several times by someone on their radio channel. I wasn't there but suspect it's a pirate. Any info appreciated.

Not from the Wexford area but just wondering what frequency you were using? PMR?

    OMAC frequency, 166.3875.

Record the channel, all the time if possible, getting a recording of the voice (and the times it happens) would help in identifying who is doing this if it happens again.

I presume it was local sounding rather than coming further afield (such as across the water from Wexford in Wales) ?

Very local. Both OMAC crews were on separate duties within a few kilometres of each other when this idiot started hurling insults.

Antenna makes a good point as Welsh licenced Hams and welsh/se coast england pirates can hit the repeaters quite easy in the South east...

And also its very easy for anyone to pick up a 2m/70cm VHF/UHF handheld these days there selling online for as little as €25/30...
