Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, wondering if somebody can clear something up, I was told, though I'm a bit sceptical, that if you own land you can build a log or timber house on it without planning permission??

    is this true?

    No.

The Planning Acts look at the use of land as well as any structures, so in this case, building a house would comprise two changes (a) from open land to residential and (b) from no building to having a building.
