Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's always important to scrub the shít out of your car. Brillo pad and sand paper why didn't I think of that. Must give it a try one of the days. :)

spotted in Greystones over the weekend.
I've not seen an X7 in the flesh before, and I wouldn't be in a hurry to see another one. They're big, and they're brash, each to their own, but not for me.

Had pleasure to drive one on back seat in Italy. Once you not driver none of the car is too big. Bigger car mean more space for you to strech your legs. To me there was too much plastic inside it or maybe something what looks like plastic.
Wouldn't buy it and not because its BMW or something but because it's SUV, they not my type of cars yet... maybe when im 60 or 70 and can't get in or get out of low cars i'll go for SUV.

in the first of Greg81's pics (post #9884) -
the 911, a couple of questions - it looks to have a very short, or shortened tail, along with widened rear arches, any idea what particular model/variation this is? And also whats the disk in the front bonnet, is it the fuel cap?

    Meanwhile in Bray yesterday -

Fantastic looking car, but am I alone in thinking the engine figures are pretty poor for what it is? When Honda and BMW can build n/a engines making 100bhp/l, to make 100bhp/l while utilising a supercharger seems underwhelming to me?

It only weights about 1100 kgs it would be an absolute blast to drive, I've only ever got one spin in an Exige great cars, i couldn't get out of one while maintaining any dignity though - getting in wasn't so bad.

If you look back at older Elise models you'll see they haven't always had very impressive engine power numbers. I don't think the k series engine in the original Elise even made 150hp? Rhett have always been very light to make up for it (series 1 Elise was under 700kg?)

Correct, and after the k series they moved to the gen7 celica 1zz (140bhp) & 2zz (190bhp) engines, and boy does the Elise move quicker than the Celicas they came out of.

Plus, that camry v6 is a beast of an engine.

I pass one daily in Nenagh. It's not a bad looking car. Rumour has it that it was actually a Saab 93 that never made production and is a well built car.

I think everyone will agree this is rather special! Convoying in a Ferrari F430 Spider following a Lamborghini Murcielago SV & One of Ireland’s only residing Porsche Carrera GT on what was the perfect evening for a spin!

Not a plug of any sorts but I think the majority of people on this thread will really appreciate the cars! Photos & Videos are on my social media pages @dylanhennessycars. Remove if needed but that caliber of cars on the road in Dublin is definitely something to see!

    Cheers

That's a great photo. If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about setting up those runs? Some amazing cars.

Different type of convoy from the exotics above that I passed yesterday but for many maybe more interesting. Not my video, but a local photographer. I met them in another town later in the day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19 Car007

That particular wasn’t one of mine. Just went along for the spin. They’re always good fun and an excuse to get out! Not something that happens on the regular over here.

Some nice cars there, I'm particularly fond of the Vauxhall/Opel stuff from the 80s and 90s.

That DB9 above is deadly but I can't help think it would look nicer still with a pressed metal plate.

Client of mine was showing me his 07 CLK 63 AMG Black Edition today he just bought. Oh my god what a car, he drove me up the road in it, the sound, the power. Insane.
