all computer peripherals from the US website are much cheaper than here.

just wondering if any one here has purchased anything from them?

    is the delivery quick?

would it be charged by Irish customs office?
if yes, how much would be the tax rate?

any info provided is much appreciated!

Voltage 110v in the US (small tehnical issue) :D

Couriers such as FedEx and UPS collect VAT, if the yanks post it ist will come through unscathed more than not. Normally you are stung for the VAT only.

Yanks take ages to verify your CC address, paypal is easier.

Once your cc is verified they are cool when it comes to repeat business.

I've ordered stuff off amazon.com, gets here with varying degrees of speed depending on how much you're willing to pay. While UPS and FedEX collect VAT, from ordering gear from amazon.com if the item is marked as a present you don't get taxed. Under gift wrapping option, amazon allow you to mark it as a gift and add a message.

For reference Revenue Commisioners FAQ on Customs & Excise, question 6.
