Mods I recommend you change the title of this thread to show clearly that 48 have (quietly and without notice) changed the rewards for this scheme to "either 48 service credit or a €10 non-48 service voucher (whatever that is) at 48’s sole discretion".

Just ordered a sim there, thanks. Not sure if that secures the freebies, or it's when I 'buy a membership'? Just wanna try out the coverage before switching from Virgin. You recommend BTW?

Did you switch to 48 in the end?

Anyone know if you can refer yourself and use the same bank account to pay for both memberships? Was thinking of getting another sim for use in a mobile broadband router, if hotspotting isnt blocked on 48?

You can refer yourself for another sim, but you'll need to use a separate email address to register it. You can however, use the same card to pay for both memberships, as I pay for my own and my teenagers' on the one card.

Hotspotting isn't blocked, but apparently the 100gb data is a hard cut-off, and you can't go over it.

ah great, was hoping not to have to use two bank accounts. I only use about 30gb a month too so will be well under their limit. Just hoping the signal holds up in my area as Im getting rid of a Vodafone mobile broadband router and moving to 48 for internet. Might get a Gomo sim as well to check their speeds.
