Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

About an inch of lying snow in Leitrim this morning. Snowed a lot between about 9am and 10am. Crept into work. Ice snow and driving are not a good mix.

A nothing burger of an event in Dublin. Or in my part anyway.

Yeah same around my part in Dublin 8; we got away with it thank goodness but it is very cold here all the same

It was never going to be, compared to Monday night, but in the bigger picture its cooling the ground right down which is important for the week ahead, or even weeks ahead. The conditions look promising for some widespread wintry falls during the coming week and especially towards next weekend.

A couple of cm here this morning and snow patches still lingering in the shade and on north facing roofs.

    New Moon

If the GFS analysis was correct, 850 hPa temps overnight bottomed out at -7.0c along the east coast to -9.0c over the Midwest region.

Snowing again in Letterkenny. Decent size flakes. Been on and off all morning. Snow and hail.

Just had a bit of a perambulation, here are a few snaps of the scenery here this afternoon. A bit of a melt going on but there was about 4 inches lying earlier. Great to hear that most places got a bit too.

Currently sunny blue skies here near Arklow
    Air 7,7c
    DP 0.3c
    WB 4.7c

Won't be needing a shovel here today :D

    Amazing island for contrast

We did have a slight dusting this morning from something that fell in the wee hours

Very lucky here at the foothills of the dublin mountains. Snowed twice so far, but only at night, and well gone by the next day.

I think you probably live in the best location for snow in Ireland. Prime area for showery activity and high enough that it isn't the wet sloppiness of low levels.
