    Hey All,

Just wondering on average how long it takes banks to issue an offer letter?

We are AIP'd but expires after first week of September - we're perhaps close to agreeing a property (Fingers Crossed) but are we cutting it too fine?

    Thanks

AIP is not full approval. You will need to get full formal approval. Once you get that, the letter of offer should issue in a couple of days. Depending on your circumstances there may be conditions attached to the letter of offer.

It took us almost 3 weeks with kbc and going through a broker breathing down their neck. From the first time buyers fb page it can take 3-5 weeks depending on the bank. Some had much faster turn around if getting mortgage from their usual bank (which I'm not)

Took about 14 working days for loan offer to issue from Ulster Bank.
