Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I actually dont mind it once i get there. For me it's just getting there is my issue ha

This times a million if I go I’ll have a great session but I just can’t force myself there

Thankfully I do a 40 minute walk to and from my car everyday for work which has saved me from my terrible diet

I'm a lazy good for nuthin' shift-working fatso and I love it. :P

Don't have the time or inclination to go the gym tbh.

More power to those who do, it's just not for me.

Tried with several different places in the past. Fitness regimes, personal plans, the works. Just never liked it or could stick to anything.

I read shift working (been there) as **** posting, and I was thinking you can get paid to **** post online..

    Then I re-read and was severely :(

Joke shop of a performance in Gibraltar. Going up too the Georgia game on Tuesday and dreading it a bit now

Going too the hurling league semi finals tomorrow hoping for a Waterford win. Galway will be up for this in a big way. Limerick vs Dublin in the other semi

A win's a win but yes not a great performance (bar Randolph) and poor John Delaney steps down, steps aside, resigns, rehired  but still part of FAI

Mothers Day alert lads - coming this sunday.

I'm telling ye, this having kids craic is all fun and games until Mother's day rolls around. Then you have to go out and not only get a gift for your own mother, but also one on behalf of the kids as well, for the wife.

And woe betide you should it be forgotten or lacklustre. :pac:

It's annoying as I hate stuff like this and refuse to acknowledge the other Hallmark created day for us fathers but I'm not allowed to forget this one :(

Making mental note of this for future Hallmark created days.

Also it's making me rethink having kids down the line if this is the hassle it involves :pac:

Got the mother one of the cordless Dysons, she's been wanting one for ages! Gave it to her this morning and she's delighted with it, house has never been so clean :D

Good thing she's happy - it could have gone the other way.

Like the Xmas i bought my mother an electric tin opener years back....

just asked the missus to pick up a bunch of flowers on her way home for my mam. she said no. :p

Dont forget folks clocks go forward saturday night. I've promised the missus she can have an extra hour in bed (dont think she realises the clocks were going forward):D

Most of the kids have already made the homemade cards and stuff in school. Thats more special than a standard hallmark card that says Mum, Mummy, Mom, Mommy etc.....If they have a Ma or Mam card i'll pick it up, but they can be rare these days.

Gorgeous night for football here in the capital. I'll be at a sold out Dalymount Park to see Bohs vs St Pats. Dundalk vs Cork City is live on RTE2 if anyone is interested in checking out the latest installment of that rivalry.

Just saw all the great fitness posts here. Well done everyone. Well done brother Gerry. I started Slimming World with my gf this year and have to say it's been great. Last night I got three awards at once and nearly died of embarrassment when they all start clapping ha. Got Slimmer of the Month , 1.5 Stone Loss Award and a thing called a Club 10 Award which means you've dropped 10% of your body weight. Aiming to be down 2 Stone in the next few weeks. It's mostly down to sensible diet and a small bit of exercise 4 or 5 days a week.

It really is that simple when you're in the swing of things

Lost 3 stone last summer with little bother, but on going back to college in September I said I'd be a little easier on myself for a few weeks, that few weeks was 7 months ago :o

Just start back nice and slowly man. Maybe do a 35 or 40 minute walk and that's loads. You don't need to be pounding the pavement like a mad thing. I think late night snacking is a killer as well as you don't work off any of the intake while you sleep.

Nice one dude, serious progress there. 1.5 stone is a fair whack to lose.

Hard to believe The Matrix is 20 years old now. Anyone see it in the cinema at the time? I didn't watch it until a few years later on DVD and enjoyed it. Haven't seen the sequels.

Pffft I watched it on VHS, there was no such thing as DVD's until I owned a PlayStation 2. First DVD I watched was NWO Back in Black which a free with Smackdown - SYM. Got a few laughs out of a clip of Tony Schiavone scolding Hogan as a heel, "he was no good, he was never any good"

Any recommendations for one of those top up debit cards?
Basically want it as a middle man to move money from my bank account to a betting account.

Turns out Revolut don't like betting companies but Skrill do. At least I have a Revolut account!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,304 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I've heard others using the revolut card on betting sites to avoid showing up in the statement. Maybe different site

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

ive used revoult on betting sites lots although if anyone is using to avoid showing up for mortgages or anything i believe there starting to request revoult or similar statements

Started taking creatine too help me a bit on my workouts. Notice a small difference but noting much. So many vitamins and supplements out there which are not cheap

Drinking 6/8 glasses of water daily is killing me. Never much of a water drinker and never drank this much daily

Wouldn’t surprise me alright. If they see decent amounts of money going to a Revolut type account they’ll want to see what it’s being spent on. Cash is pretty much the only way it won’t be detected somewhere though even then if you’re taking out decent sums from the ATM too regularly they could ask questions on that. I have heard conflicting reports on whether the occasional, small gambling transaction would be held against you, but I would err on the side of caution there.

I've had 2 people in the same bank tell me differing things on your more "frivolous" types of payments, both agree that it'll make little difference if you're well able for the loan you're trying to get but if you're on the margins or need an exemption then it probably won't help your case

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 15,166 Mod ✭✭✭✭Furious-Red

I used to work in the sales department(loans/credit cards/overdrafts) of a bank and any betting transactions could affect your application(it might not always tho)

Like if your paying all your direct debits when they come in , showing your wages coming into the account and then still retaining a solid bit of money on a regular basis you should be fine(which is usually an computer automated decision)

Its basically if your application goes to an actual lender they will look of your account and possibly ask for more details like other accounts. If they see lots of betting transactions they more than likely decline your application

I don't, but it's a temporary site-wide ban. I'm posting this publicly to inform but also to move on, as talking about banned users is a no-no. But as a PW regular, i'd expect to see him back in a bit.

    Had a week of it

Sunday emergency dentist appointment and got a tooth taken out

Monday went back got a root canal on another one

Today got a small bit of bone taken out of the tooth i got out and my God it hurt as it was the very bottom

Still not out of the woods yet but had too be done

Doesn't help with the bad news of Waterford not getting a Euro place. ****ing UEFA rules
