Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Found it

Linus loves- stand back, didn't realize it got a commercial release and has a cheesy vocal, ya no thanks, I'd love a copy of the version felix played above.

it's definitely not that all though it does sample the same original track. the track you are looking for is one of felix's own remixes of the original track.

Mid 90's track. Graham Keely played it on Power FM and I think you might have heard it a bit in the Temple as well. It had a sample "Go".. It wasn't Moby Go - a bit more underground than that? Any ideas?

Graham Keely did a mix on Power FM (pretty sure it was power) but it also had Fluke, bullet in it and a selection of super tracks. IF anyone has that mix, please send on. Thanks.

Ok, think this is it- Armed Response:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSeYODrR5Nw

It is definitely the same "go" sample, anyway.

    90s dance track. Cheesy.
    Female vocal sample "delicious" .
    That's all I have, anyone?

Haven't been round these parts in quite some time but stumbled onto it today. I assume you're looking for this:

    I actually have that somewhere.

It was on The Ministry of Sound Annual II which is where I'd assume most people know it from.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

Thanks. Not it im afraid :(

Wow, was pretty sure from your description that was going to be it.

Can you give me anything else to go on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,933 ✭✭✭JDxtra

Thats pretty much it. Vocal was pretty clear and slow.

Is it the same sample though? There's a bunch of remixes of that same tune. Wondering if it's a remix and not the original.

Bit of a long shot this one.

I lived in Dublin in the 00’s. I used to listen to Power FM a lot, loads of tapes recorded from it.
In early 2005 there was a show on Sunday night from 11 to 1 (I think!) and the DJ was Brian Cody (again not sure) played sort of dark progressive house/trance.

There was one song I really loved and he played it quiet regularly around this time.

The name of song and artist are very sketchy with me.

Nearly sure the artist was called Cosmos Epsolong (really just spelling that the way I remember) and the song had ‘Love Song/Story’ in the title. Nearly sure there was a male singer in it.

Ive had no luck on google and I’ve a box of about 50 tapes with stuff on them that I don’t have time to go through!

Sorry it’s all a bit vague but it might ring a bell with someone.

No not the one (great tune anyway), again the name of the song could be wrong. But artist was something along the lines of Cosmos (something)

Is the track by Fluke "groovy feeling" the same as rez by underworld?

they aren't the same track, however fluke's track does take a little sample from underworld cow girl.

Could be Kosmas Epsilon - Love Song? (link below is a remix, it was likely the Club mix you heard) :)

Thats the one!!! Definitely the Club Mix, as i remember a bit more vocal in.
Would have played Kosmas Epsilon and other stuff like that on that late night show.

    Hello all.

I’ve been trying to track down a track in this mix that starts at 1 hour 36 minutes in for the last couple of months without success. Female lyrics that go ‘oh na na na na’ and that’s all I got!

Any help with this one would be much appreciated

By the way the vocalist sample is Terri B. She was the singer with a Eurodance group called 2 Eivissa in the 90s. The sample if from a summer song called Oh La La La. That tune in turn lifts samples from Hysteric Ego's Want Love and Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman.

Be up there with feckin Santa Maria is terms of cheesiness.

Sounds very Sweet Tee like samples. obscure, probably a white label, never officially released. Interestingly some of the repetitive vocal samples are very similar to part of Li Kwan - I need a man.

Tin Tin don't DJ anymore. I'd try and get an ID off some of ex Trade DJs which is probably what this is lifted off. Was it a mix tape you have ? What else is on it ?

Looking for an old skool late 80's / early 90's tune that started with either the star wars theme or 2001 Space Odyessey theme and then went into a really catchy house-y song.

I think this was played by Sasha as an encore at the end of a set.

I have gone thru lots of his sets from early 90's but can't find it.

    Thanks

Edit - found it. Spent 2 hours searching for this...

Edit - that one with the pulsing bass line isn't Leroy First Flight actually. Gonna bug me now what that is...

Going through some old tapes I found one labelled "Power FM Mix". I recorded a few of these around 1994/95 when Power FM played various mixes on loop out of hours when no dj's were on.

So far I've found out that side A of tape #1 was actually not a mix by Power FM but rather it was a Warren K mix tape on loop. It's on youtube with a full track list :D

The other side B is probably another Warren K or DJ that sold tapes at the time and looped by Power FM. I'm trying to ID 3 tracks from it. That info might help you ID them:

    ID2
    ID3
    ID4

I've the full tape recording here if any one is interested

    Cheers for listening!

Long shot here. I've heard a track once or twice on True FM (Cork).
It's relatively slow tempo and has a high plucked synth line that uses a sound very similar to PPK - Resurrection. There is an accompanying male vocal (pitched way down) and a dubby kind of bassline.

Looking to ID a tune going around in my head.

Goes something like “oh dada oh dada, (I) want your love/won’t you love”.
