Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Redoing CV: 'DIT' Vs 'TU Dublin'

Just thinking about updating my CV, and encountered this conundrum:

I attended DIT (some years ago), and my degree was from 'Dublin Institute of Technology'. The college is now of course called 'Technical University Dublin'.

Which is better to put down on my CV - the current name, or the name as it was at the time I attended?

I should point out that I no longer live in Ireland, so there is more scope for potential employers to be confused by 'TU Dublin' being written on my CV, but 'DIT' being written on my degree/transcripts.

    Thanks :)

Just put on your CV "Dublin Institute of Technology (now Technological University Dublin) ".

    That should do it.

The college is now of course called 'Technical University Dublin'.

Unfortunately, it isn't. They decided to pick an incredibly stupid name: Technological University Dublin

    Embarrassing as hell...

I would stick to whatever is written on your transcripts / diploma to avoid confusion and having a long name on your CV if you go with "Dublin Institute of Technology (now Technological University Dublin)"

As you said - people outside of Ireland will have heard of neither, so it doesn't matter.
I got a copy of my transcript this year. It's certified by "TU Dublin" with an explanation at the bottom. A Google search will probably tell them the same thing.
