Extend wifi to shed

Sorry if this has been asked before, my brother wants to extend wifi from his house to an external shed about 500m away.

At the moment just has a freebie Vodafone router in the house. He was thinking about buying Mesh and see if that would work? or was wondering about a point to point wifi extender he could use? I have googled but not seeing anything.

Any idea's? thank you

If at all possible, a cable run would be a far better job.

If there is electric power with a socket in the shed could use powerline connectors connecting an old router as a wireless access point.

It's on a farm, the shed is on a different fuse board so that would rule out the power line, sorry I should of mentioned but Thank you for the advice

Not really possible as it goes across a farm yard etc, concrete plinth etc.

500m - that's a fair distance.

If it's just for sporadic working purposes, then using a mobile as a Hotspot is an option.

If you need constant connection, but not heavy usage, maybe get a '48' subscription at €7.99 (owned by 3) and any unlocked phone and leave it on as a Hotspot

Plan is to have a couple of indoor camera set up......setting up a maternity ward for cows :P

Sorry just got google maps working and the distance is actually 100m. Sorry he said 500m

Need to use a point to point system, have you got line of sight between both properties?

I actually guessed that this was the purpose

The farming and forestry forum has a lot of knowledgeable people on it and probably a better place for this query.

OP if you fancy doing it yourself a kit like one of the ones at the link below will do the job, if you have line of sight.
