Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Had to call hp to get the 5 months added. Was asked to email the page from the free ink brochure. Got an email a few hours later to say it was done.

Seems to be an issue with the automatic setup on the app.

Has anyone applied for the €15 cashback yet?
HP Envy 6032 not showing up in dropdown of devices, and when I try to register or add a device, it bombs me out at the Irish post code/eircode part. Is the refund UK only by any chance?

Does it make a difference what plan you choose?
By that I mean are we better off signing up to the 24.99 plan and cancelling when the free months run out or is there a specific plan that the free months are tied to?

You can change plan at any time. Don't forget to use a referral code when you sign up

They send out a new cartridge when the other one is near empty, not when you print 300 pages

Thanks I used your referral link. Similar to a previous poster, no 5 months when I signed up but a call to support sorted it and have the 7 months free now.

    Jeepers lads,

Don't want to sound like a complete numpty but do you purchase the printer first without registering and then set up HP account for 5-7 months free ink after choosing plan. And it's after registering that you get the 15 euro back also.

    Apologies for asking.

    Would do.

But knowing me, I'd probably select the wrong one!

Plus, with the cashback and ink trial, I don't think I'd be saving much/anything.

But you have a responsibility TO THE WORLD not to just WASTE THINGS based on cost alone. I.e. there is a bigger transaction that the money part alone...

Otherwise, you're throwing away a perfectly good printer? That is why so much tech ends up in landfill...

Compatible ink is a good option for the canon

Was going to buy online, but not if others are waiting since the start of the month and expecting charges. Might pop in over the weekend. Have a HP printer and an ink subscription already, but printer is broken so need a new one. Great service though, suits us to the ground - ramp up/down the subscription as needed.

Finally received from dpd today. Had to ring to get the free 5 months. Is there any benifit to choosing a higher tier plan for the free period ? Currently have it set set to "occasional" printing

Try restarting everything. Turn off router, printer and device. I used a laptop and and had to download the smart app and it was seamless.

I agree. I used android phone and downloaded two apps HP print service plugin and HP smart. Most of my battle was figuring out where the paper goes!

    It's the same.
The company operates under a number of brands in the United Kingdom, Ireland and mainland Europe. These include Currys PC World, Team Knowhow and Carphone Warehouse in the United Kingdom; Dixons Travel in airports in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Oslo; Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse in the Republic of Ireland; Elkjøp in Norway; Elgiganten/Gigantti in the other Nordic countries; and Kotsovolos in Greece.

I actually managed to order one last week from Liffey Valley but when I got there they were unable to locate the printer in their store. Ended up taking a dearer HP printer with a manager discount of €50 however still paid €100 with no cashback offer and only 3 months of ink.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,340 ✭✭✭nc6000

I ordered one from Currys.ie about 4 weeks ago. It's been going great - uses hardly any electricity or paper and it's so quiet you'd hardly notice it was there.

Oh hang on, that's because it isn't there as I never received my order and have now been told it's cancelled!

Not sure exactly what's gone wrong with Currys and Brexit but I would never order anything off them again. It's a shambles.

My curries order took over 2 weeks to arrive from the uk, I paid about €60 for it and got 6 months free ink but no cash back , it’s not the same as the one in op, it’s a desk jet plus 4130

It’s a glitch in their system and they know about it. Most nights, sometime after midnight, Curry’s website shows stock available for this model, and funny enough, always in the Liffey Valley shop.
3 times in the last 2 weeks I fell for it and reserved one for collection, and 3 times I got the proverbial phone call the next morning to let me know that a mistake had been made and no printer was really available.
I’ll check again tonight, but Curry’s being Curry’s, my guess is that the issue hasn’t been addressed yet and you can still click and reserve it in Liffey Valley, even though they have no stock.

Been twice to the Liffey Valley store in the last 2 weeks, also rang them 2 or 3 times, and no one in there could tell me if/when stock will be available again.
