Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I say fair play to you if you're successful, content with life and reaping the rewards.

There's far too much emphasis on misery and first world problems on boards.

So if you're happy out, living the dream I say well done.

You worked hard for it,and don't let anyone or anything make you feel bad for being successful...

It's not about being financially successful, it just about being successful in every way...

Financially secure, not living a toxic spiteful lifestyle, have a healthy lifestyle..

    Living the dream :)

You forgot to complete your post with "You've never had it so good" (Harold MacMillan) OP. ... But I might concede some mitigating factors like you're a millennial and born after 2000.

    Lay off the happy pills.

Born in 1975 made the right decisions growing up, bought a house at 23.
Got a job in the public sector at 22, never married and have a kid who's in his early 20's

So your attempt at conceding mitigating factors are way off the mark.

    Have a good day kiiiiddd

Personally I don't believe in reincarnation. I didn't believe in it when I was a frog and I don't believe in it now :D:D

More than you can imagine, but what i enjoy in spades you probably enjoy in diamonds...

Diamonds are for ever, but with a spade in hand i don't dig holes deep enough that i can't get myself out of....

    Your call mate :)

Thanks, I think a lot of people give themselves such a hard time, I've been thinking a lot lately and I am writing a lot lately.

And I went through a lot of things over the last few weeks, and something happened recently and it gave me a wake up call...

Exactly that's what I'm looking at.
I had a health scare recently but it was benign so I feel like I have to appreciate life more...

I wont begrudge anyone, I refuse to. I've made my choices and they've put me in this hole, a hole I'll probably die in, but I'd never wish anyone to be down here with me.

    You'll be ok.
I've been in a few holes myself, things can only get better.

Make that hole a whole lot better...

Line it with a feather, make a pair of wings and if you want to soak the edges with petrol, light uo that fire inside of you...

Rise up like a phoenix.... Fly out in a blaze of glory....

Land, take off those wing's extinguish the fire and fill up that hole with the feathers so the next time it'll be a soft landing...

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    Shopping list for fulfilling life:
    -Feathers

    -Fire extinguisher

I immensely enjoy my life :), and its working out well. It all can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye, so i try to enjoy it whilst it is good. Tbh I try to enjoy even when times are bad. I agree in general, not just on Boards OP, too much complaining.

We're very, very lucky to be born in a country like Ireland. You'd swear going by this forum sometimes that it's some third world sh*thole but in reality the moment you are born here you're almost guaranteed a better standard of living and opportunity than around 80% of the planet.

Make the most of it, or failing that, moan about d'traveler's and d'immigrants ladz.

There's a story here, if you were just patting yourself on the back for working hard and being great you would go into detail to explain why, instead this shouts feelings of guilt , of not deserving it.

Moaning about immigrants, welfare and the likes is a result of people living well. They're afraid they might have to share, or that people who are less deserving will get a slice of the pie.

If that was the case I think they'd have to explain why they're great. This is something else.
