Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I've a Passat B6 with the RCD 300 standard factory stereo.

I just want to add bluetooth for Spotify, podcasts etc. I really don't want to touch FM transmitters or anything that hangs out of the cigarette lighter socket.

Apparently these Bluetooth adaptors work by using the CD Changer input, you press "CD" twice and then it kicks in.

I just need to know if anyone can please link me to one that definitely works?

Here's an example Ebay listing for these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323654818656

Also does the stereo need reprogramming (is it VCDS?) to recognise this is hooked up in the CD Changer input?

*** Edit to add - I know the Stereo in the above image is not an RCD 300, the below is the compatibility listing on the Ebay listing:

    - Bluetooth AUX Adapter Cable Kit For MCD RNS 300 510 RCD 210 300 310 500 510

Does your radio have an aux connection? Sometimes they are in the glove box or centre console. If you have you could reroute it in behind, add a cigarette lighter connection to the fuse box and use something like this. That way you can use it to take calls also and control your playlist.

Just means when you receive a call you need press media to switch to aux if not already already on it.

Thanks for this - No unfortunately, no Aux in of any kind anywhere.

    - Had it in my last car allright and used to use an August Bluetooth receiver in the aux-in in the glovebox.

I had this in my last car (Mk5 golf) and it worked well.
