Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just forget the house i want to buy is 1.1 million that i contribute 600k, just for a highly paid job man get 300k loan is a lot? i don't think so.

I'm not sure what advice you're looking for here OP. If your husband doesn't want to move, how can posters advise you on resolving your issue?

We could draft up a memo signed by us all?

The husband is obviously not an idiot with money and doesn’t want to spend/waste 1.1million on a 5 bedroom status house for 3 people.

OP it seems very unreasonable that your husband doesn't contribute more than 1000 to the running of the house considering how well he is doing. It's a very good deal for him!! It's doesn't matter that you can afford to pay the mortgage and bills. - he should still contribute. Don't borrow from your friend to buy - that's a crazy idea. Does he think the house you want to buy is overpriced?

I’m guessing the op wants to stay in the area and the cost is just what It is for a bigger house there , and area holds its value so it’s not crazy at all

Well not discussing your wishes for the near future before getting married IS crazy

We both want child soon, we tried for the last year, just not conceive yet.

Please don't assume you can get pregnant. I know so many people who discovered they couldn't, or not without intervention. Buying a 5 bedroom house is beyond premature just because you "don't want to move during pregnancy".

Your finances are connected yet you and your husband are acting like they're not. Please take proper financial advice. Any friend who would even consider making a loan of the magnitude you're suggesting also needs financial and legal advice.

If you've not conceived after a year of trying you might want to look into keeping some money aside for fertility treatments etc. They generally say after 12 months is when you should see a specialist.
If having a family is important to you I'd prioritise that over organic berries or a 5 bed in D4.

And babies sleep with their parents for the first 6 months anyway, so there's no rush to get a 5 bed house before you might be pregnant, maybe your focusing on the house as that's what you think you can control?

yes, this is my point. I'm sure it will always increase or at least hold the value.
    And we have the ability..

Thank you. We plan see fertility specialist soon.

I know we have plenty time until the baby born and need her own bedroom.

Just the shortage of new house in this area is very very few.. Plus the house can alway increase or at least hold the value, and we have the ability pay the mortgage.

This post is 100% a wind up. She's barely literate ...

How many languages beyond your native language do you know well enough to use when posting on bulletin boards?

To be fair it’s quite easy to fake

I asked her native language - the question was evaded. I wonder where she is working in Dublin for such good money without a decent grasp of English.
And to answer your question - I'm fluent in English, Spanish and French. I also speak Italian fairly well but haven't written in Italian in years so wouldn't be comfortable. But I don't expect others to be even bilingual, hence why I asked her native language.

But basically that's all irrelevant because the OP is taking the piss.

He has more than a million, but all in stock,
I think it’s reasonable and safe to cash out some regardless buy the house or not.
200k is a fraction of all,

Have you heard of capital gains tax? The government will take 30% of any profit he makes on shares

Not really. I know several people who did very well with Bitcoin, Tesla and other stocks. Very plausible for people to get wealth fast from shares

OP it would really help if you told us what your husbands thoughts were!

Does he not really want kids? Or only want ones and thinks the two bed will do? Are you guys on the verge of breaking up? Is he worried about his stock plummeting? Does he just want to wait for a few more years?

Otherwise this thread does look kind of fake...

By the way if this is how you communicate with him I’m not surprised you have ended up married yet with different paths planned....

    It's not like that.
He always very generous, like all the big expenses etc for the family he always insists to pay, give me gifts etc.. and told me to let him know if i have financial issue.
I just comfortable manage the bills and my existing mortgage, so never ask.

Seems strange to me that he told you to let him know if you have financial issues?
You really should know more about your joint finances.
Maybe this way works for ye, but I think they would have to change if you have a family.

He wants kids. Yes, i need find out more details about his thoughts, just tell me i'm crazy is not enough..

    No! Of course not, never!
We had never argued or had any issues from the beginning.
    We have the best relationship.
I know his proportion about different investments, it's pretty much safe, if plummeting someday, the amount after plummeting i suppose is still a decent amount. because the amount now is quite big, so not really need to worry about.
And for the worst situation I said in the previous post, he just left his job around half year, his previous job is high skilled desirable well paid job, he always can get back to his previous job and I can support as well.

We had the discussion about set up a joint account since last year.
And this year when we got married, we got over 10k from family members.
Just because the lockdown and he is very busy every day, we still not go to the bank yet and that 10k still sit down in the drawer.

Maybe that is why you feel like you have a great relationship - you never have any real conversations!

How can all he say is you are crazy and not give more detail - do you not ask?

There is no great relationship without good communication. How will you deal with having kids of you can’t agree on houses and finances.

It sounds like you are quite separate in terms of finances which is rather bizzare....

Report it? I suspect its a piss take and I've said as much. What are the moderators going to do - investigate it? Cop on. I'm entitled to my opinion and I've stated it so that others also cast a critical eye over this nonsense.

    Mod Note

OP, Personal Issues is a place where people come to for advice on how to resolve an issue affecting them. 5 pages on and there's no resolution to your issue, because unless your husband is willing to consent to a sale of the family home and move - no one here can help you.

On that note I'm going to close the thread, because I don't see what you can gain from it - other than considering whats already been said.

On another note, I think a few posters might benefit from reading the Charter here, and in particular taking note of this part:-

If you have an issues with a post or a thread report it, do not post "I think this is a troll" as it will be considered off topic posting and by now you should all know off topic posting can resulted in infractions and/or a ban from this forum.

Report the posts let the Mods make a call on it, it could be well that the thread started out as an attempt to troll but there could well be people out there struggling with that issues and the thread maybe helpful to them now or when they search boards.

Again replying to a thread to state you think it is a troll attempt will be considered off topic posting.

    Thanks

    HS
