Tell me what you think... I was just drawing for the sake of it/out of boredom, but I think they turned out alright! Thanks!

(BTW, I can't draw mouths or hands :o)

originally they are all handdrawn after I scanned them I used photoshop to modify it. The Scan and gekritzel picture are the original without modifying of photoshop :)

There's some great talent here! Really liked some of your pieces.

    IMG_4848.jpg

Leather jacket I made out of clay, not the best shot.

    IMG_4854.jpg

Installment piece. It's on the back of an old wooden door (A b*tch to carry about!!!)

    IMG_4855.jpg

    Oil painting with collage.

    IMG_4851.jpg

Mixed media study of a goats skull.

These are all from last year, most of my recent work's been through photography. I'll hopefully get some more up soon!

a leather jacket make of clay, with the zip and all, mad and wonderful :)

some very interesting and cool stuff there Fajitas!:) where did you get you ideas from?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,624 ✭✭✭✭Fajitas!

    Cheers!

The goats skull was just a study, which I got quite interested in, skull/death/time...clock! hence the clock installation. The jacket came from a leather jacket I bought years ago, still have it, and really like it. My parents wanted to throw it out (smelly as it was) and what better way to immortallise it :P (Still have it though). The eye was a series of three, it started off as a simple study of eyes, which as detailed as I could get them, weren't very interesting, so I began adding collage...and got a bit carried away!

Wow Elven. Your invitation is lovely, as is the tiara.

You've reminded me that I really must get started with making my own.

Came home from college early today, sitting about bored sh*teless and remembered I had 2 canvas's left. Started two oil paintings based on 2 of my favourite photos I took lately.

Anyways, the first 2 pics are the photographs, and the second pic show the 2 canvas's after their first half hour of colour...

It dosn't show on the blue one, but I got a lovely texture by mixing poster paint, oil paint and acrylic paint together... (I've no white oil left... And I'm not walking back into town while I have a creative streak in me)

some recent oil paintings. think there's a paperback in the photos to give a sense of scale. the camera flash kindof ruined the colours too. anyway...

Did these recently with some watercolours and waterproof ink, I am not in the painting game too long so I excuse the amateur nature of the pieces!

I'm new here so I'll post a few of my older works.

Here is a font I recently made from my own calligraphy for a friends cd cover.
    katiesoldenglish.jpg

    LostInGrey.jpg
    Pastel and conte on cardboard.

    forestfordad.jpg
Pastel and conte on cardboard. That forest burnt down shortly after I drew it.

    sleepinglady.jpg
Pastel on paper. I drew this from a picture I found of dead lady on the internet.

    mp40s.jpg
Black ink on paper. Request from a friend.

I have more on my website: http://www.filosofem.com/katie

At the moment I am trying to learn how to paint and failing miserably. If anyone has any links to sites with tips or tutorials... (I know that sounds weird) I'd appreciate it.
