    Hi All

    I am heading to Portugal tomorrow and was looking for a way to download directions from google maps, don't want to use my 3G when I am over there and not sure of any Wifi spots yeat, do you know of any apps that can help? dont have a satnav with European maps i'm afraid,

    You can't with google maps. You would ideally require a Nokia with OVI maps for what you want to do.

    There are free applications that allow you to download maps for offline use (eg mapdroid) but to my knowledge they do not do navigation.

    You could buy one of the navigation applications such as copilot that might do offline maps/navigation, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Navigon also do a free 30 day trial. You can only get navigation in one country for the trial though
