Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What would you expect a cert from an engineer to say if they designed + supervised foundations, spec'd steel beams, etc.

Would it say that they did all this? Or could it read that they sign off as is.

It should mention that they designed and inspected the installation of the foundations, steel structure. It won’t say that they supervised as that would require them to be on site constantly. Engineers generally don’t supervise, they inspect.

It could simply be a blanket cert covering Part A (Structure) of the Building Regulations.
There is a specific Engineers Ireland Cert for this when there is an Architect engaged to certify the remainder of the build and other regulations.

Who is carrying out that role?
