Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seagate 3Tb External Hard Drive

    Was in Harvey Normans Marquee Sale there awhile ago,

    They have a 3TB Hard Drive for €139, thought it was very good value.

    I was in the Airside one, not sure if other stores have same deal.

    None too shabby at all. I'd be afraid something might happen to it tho, rather have a few smaller ones with the content dispersed

    What's the usable size on the disk once it's formatted 2.5TB ?

    i didnt even realise there was such this as a 3TB, pretty good value!

    They also had a 2TB for €89 if my memory serves me right

    It was the Swords branch I was in and its the seagate brand, I've been using seagate for years and find them fantastic! hence my share on here :)

    Your calculation is spot on, your terminology not quite so :)

    A TB is 1,000,000,000,000 bytes, what you are referring to is the tebibyte (TiB) which is based on the binary calculation: 1TiB = 1024*1024*1024*1024 bytes

    I's as much microsofts fault as anyones for working storage out using the binary 1024 system yet then they use the plain 1000 terminology to describe it.

    None in the HN in Nutgrove which is annoying. I was up in PC World then after and they had 3tb ones for 300 quid!
