Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Long time reader, first time poster.

I’m writing to tell you all about a new app we’ve developed for Dublin’s long suffering public transport users. It’s called Journey Judge and its an Android app (coming soon to iPhone) that allows you to register a complaint about your public transport quickly and easily. Issues like buses not stopping, Darts cancelled, Luas overcrowding etc. At present it allows complaints for Dublin Bus, Dart and Luas but will be extended to other public transport options in time.

The app is pretty straightforward to use. Simply choose your mode of transport, select your bus route/station name, select the issue affecting you and hit Submit. It is important that you submit the issue when it happens so that the time can be recorded. Submit as many issues as needed to register all the complaints. Data is collected anonymously. Don’t worry if you don’t have a data connection - the complaint will be cached and uploaded when the network connection resumes (and the app is open).

If you have a data connection you can check the Live Data and see the Top 5 problem services for the day, week and month. You can also check out complaint breakdowns for individual bus routes and Dart/Luas stops.

The Live Data is updated every half hour. We’ve just launched today (12-March-12) so the data you see for “This Month” is test data from last week - this will be purged this week.

If you are an iPhone user you can still check out the Live Data at the bottom of the www.journeyjudge.com page

The more people that use it the harder is it for operators and government to ignore the problems people are having.

We will produce monthly reports (from April) naming and shaming the worse services and summarising the state of public transport problems for users.

Really hope you like it. Feedback and constructive criticism is very welcome at feedback@journeyjudge.com

An app for complaining about public transport? Isn't there already a boards.ie app?

wow, you really really really need to redo the piecharts on your site, like this one, to use different colours rather than just shades. Colourblindness and colour viewing problems are very very common.

Why do you have "no seats" as a reason for complaint? How very Irish.
