Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    MOD NOTE

Thread moved from Clearasil and Hormones to Dublin County North. Please make sure you've read the charter of the new forum before posting.

OP you've been moved to Dublin County North and I have a feeling you want the north side of the city but I won't move you again.

Consultant dermatologists generally require a referral from your GP and have a five month waiting list if you're going privately. The initial appointment costs around €180 with subsequent visits costing €150. If you're going privately I would highly recommend Fiona Keane in the Bons Secours hospital in Glasnevin. It would definitely be worth asking your GP for a referral to a public clinic because the wait might not be much longer, and once you got the referral you could phone and tell them you'd be willing to take a cancellation.

Aye as mentioned above, get the referral and if you have VHI, then ring round the private consultants who are available under your scheme and see who can see you soonest, you can then email over a scanned copy of the referral and you should be able to get an appointment in fairly short order.

Lots of good dermatologists in this area but as said a GP referral needed.
Depending on what the issue is some sub specialise in different conditions so tbh your GP would know who to recommend.
Wait on the public system 1-2 years, privately 1-3 months.
Go private if you can afford it....
