Can anyone comment on what sort of aircraft has just passed over Laois?

Deafening drone while watching TV. Very like the Hercules transport flights that passed over here in 1991.

Heading East-West. Will be interesting to see what it was. A massive craft.

Edit:- must be moving assets out of harm's way. Interesting.

Are you sure that deafening drone wasn’t Tubridy on the Late Late?

Were they definitely Ukrainian based? Trying to figure out if they are taking some of our military made equipment from source!

Quite rare to hear Antonovs on any flight path over the centre of the country, in my view.

Thanks. I must have been expecting the larger Antonovs. Definitely massive sound. Methinks some Dipetane might quieten those engines down. Would be less smoky too ðŸ˜

I heard this in rural Wexford last night. I was wondering what the hell it was. Incredibly loud.

Weird heard something last night in the northwest. Assumed it was rescue 118 but seemed much louder than normal.

Nothing out of the ordinary, its just a Civillian Cargo Company, they are seen in Shannon on a fairly regular basis these days.

There's a lot of aircraft maintenance companies located at Chateauroux so it could well have been ferrying an engine or something.

    Life ain't always empty.

Both An-12s were en route eventually to Seattle.
