Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Somewhat disappointed to see that pretty much nothing is going on sale or reductions on amazon regarding comics. With so much getting discounted across the board, frustrating to see nothing in the comics section getting discount. So much stuff in my wishlist I was hoping to get a cheeky deal

Yeah saw that. Unfortunately off work tomorrow so won't be near that side of Dublin over weekend.
Might spin out Saturday but its a fair bit out if the way

If it were just tables with comics, I'd be there, but publishers/creators are behind those tables - some cajoling, some just watching - which makes browsing a little excruciating (for me, anyway). But yeah, there are cool Irish comics about - a recent favourite is Olly Cunningham's Black Lines, which is online at blacklinescomics.com.
Been on both sides of that table myself and I don't disagree with you. I used to hate people annoying people annoying me while I was flicking through stuff... but it's somewhat of a necessary evil
I've passed tables before where Creators have their head's down, hard at work sketching away or some other such activity. While that leaves people free to browse their works, it also projects a somewhat disinterested attitude. In the end, Creators need to find a happy medium; let passing folk know that they would be happy to tell them about the works they're flicking through but in a friendly/ no pressure manner.0 -

I'm guessing there's something in the interaction between creator and punter that many on both sides find gratifying. That said, I was at a table-event in the Temple Bar Gallery before Christmas, which worked like a shop: pick your book and pay the cashier by the door. I like that model.0 -

Dublin city comics have artist Ron Randall will be visiting our Capel Street store on Saturday 29th September from 12 til 2pm.
Ron has worked on many great titles and drawn awesome characters over the years including VENOM, CATWOMAN, DEADPOOL, PREDATOR, SUPERGIRL, BATMAN, STAR WARS and more.
He is also the creator of the comic series Ron Randall's Trekker
Ron will be signing and sketching on the day.
