Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What time do people swim at Sandycove on Christmas Day?

I'd like to witness the madness (and secretly envy that I didn't keep my sea swimming up) on Christmas Day at Sandycove. On Youtube I've seen crowds of people watching. Is there a usual time that people go in? Thanks

usually people are coming and going all morning, biggest crown would be between 11 and 12:30. Parking around the area is madness on the day.

Thanks for that - mid morning sounds good :-)
Who knows next year maybe I'll have kept the swimming up through the autumn to be brave/foolhardy enough!

I always hear about this, and have decided that this year I'm going to do it. Is there a particular goal to do. ie swim out to a point and back, or is it just a case of jumping in and braving it as long as you can (which is not very long I'd imagine!)

Jump in, come up screaming like a mother f$cker.....catch your breath, your thinking "What the hell am I doing"....get out as quick as you can because someone behind you wants to do the exact same maddening thing.:D
