With the severly reduced attendances it seems like the GAA might allow a bonanza of TV coverage of the championship with potentially every game covered.

TV companies weigh up broadcasting entire GAA Championship

The GAA’s TV media partners are weighing up the feasibility of live broadcasting the entire senior inter-county championships as Croke Park are willing to relax their broadcasting agreements.

With attendances to be greatly restricted if not permitted at all, GAA chiefs are aware of the need to make the Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cup games available to as many people as possible. RTÉ and Sky Sports as well as TG4 are this week assessing how many games they would be able to stream as well as show live on their channels.

Sources suggest that more games in the final rounds of the Allianz Football League next month may also be televised or streamed. Currently, TG4 has the rights for Sunday league matches and RTÉ signing a three-year agreement with the GAA last year to televise AFL and league matches.<snip>

It is understood RTÉ are to show 24 games in total, 18 exclusive. Sky are expected to televise eight exclusive fixtures and both companies will as per usual simulcast the All-Ireland semi-finals and finals in both codes. Four of the Ulster SFC matches are to be shown exclusively by BBC.

The remaining Championship fixtures will be carried on the GAAGo streaming service with RTÉ producing the coverage.

The only question is whether the online games will be charged for, as happened with many championships this year and is the case for 100% of games viewed from abroad, or will it be free .

I'd imagine if they are using GAAgo (which is a commercial company in partnership with RTE) then it would be the intention to charge for games, and if streaming all non TV games online is a replacement for having paying crowds, that would be logical.

Still no desire to purchase the Eir Sport package on Sky

Think its good all games are been shown in some format. Some teams never get any Live TV coverage

The GAAGO packages for the 2020 season have been released at €79 for worldwide for all remaining league (down from €140) plus all football and hurling games, and very interestingly just €29 for the GB pack which has the same as above but missing any sky games so you'd miss Saturday evening games and all ireland semis and finals.

If the GAA decides to charge Irish viewers directly for the first time, then I'd be surprised if it was much different to that GB pack

The prospect of GAAGo being available in Ireland, for a fee, seems to be growing in certainty, unless someone is feeding the Examiner with lies. This from yesterdays Examiner

The GAA are set to make available several Allianz League games on their streaming service GAAGO, including Cork’s Division 3 promotion clash with Louth on Saturday week.
At present, there are five of the 15 round 6 league matches due to be televised live or deferred on TV the weekend after next. However, more are expected to feature on GAAGo.

It is expected there will be a subscription fee for watching those matches on GAAGo.
