So my car vomitted brown liquid and we brought him straight into the vet for x-ray, bloods, etc.

The vet seemed very concerned but online sources seem to say it could be a number of things.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar either feline or canine?

I'm hoping it's just a bug and the poor lad is down to his bile

In human terms it means partly -digested blood from an internal bleed. And is classed as a medical emergency. Best to be safe whether person or cat.
