Grating noise coming from wheel area.

    Hyundai i30. Breaks done about 4 months ago. Terrible grating noise, especially when turning right. Noticeable only after car has driven 5/10 mins. Fairly certain it is coming from the driver's side wheel. Any ideas?

    Probably just a loose brake caliper with a missing brake pad. Nothing to worry about!
    Seriously though, get it up on a lift ASAP. Don’t wait for something to break.

    CV joint. Have a look to see if there's grease leaking or a tear in the boot.

    Could be a stone stuck between the caliper and the disc.

    Notorious for having calipers stick.

    Get it checked and if the pads have worn down after 4 months it's most likely you need new calipers

    I had a stone grinding on my disc, left a groove.

    Update, turned out a caliper guide pin was stuck causing break pad to wear unevenly, one part being down to the metal which caused the noise when turning
