Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in the market for a native black bee nuc. I'm in the south west but I'll travel to pick one up. Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

Ask the chairperson if any member wants to sell a nuc?

Also check other beekeeping associations close to your location:

    Looking as well.

One would think it is a good year so far for those looking for Nucs.

Different when you are opening up.

Most associations have huge beginners classes, and they'll prioritise the nucs for them, so it may be difficult to get hold of an overwintered nuc this year. I only had two - one died and the other has DWV so they're out!

Hi, any idea of the office of a nuc these days?

If you are in a city put out a swarm box

Price of a nuc? About 200 I'd say.

As mentioned above, put out a bait box and you might get some for free.

Thanks, got sorted yesterday. Prices vary quite a bit around the country.

Mine arrived on Sunday, now happily installed in a hive. Then I discovered on the same day that a bait hive I had left out was occupied, so I ended the day with two new hives.

Backups are always welcome, I'm going flat out to catch swarms, even just for drawing comb.

Will merge if necessary in later months and for an emergency queen.

Great to learn off as well.
