Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyway it’s a bargain and that’s what we are here for

Yep - I could probably build a full-scale mediaeval fortress complete with keep, barbican, and six-foot thick battlemented walls with occasional guard towers out of my current stash of teabags and bogroll :p

    picked up the gold teabags.

this box is €6 in the pound shops, but they dont usually have the gold, which i find a little nicer.

works out at less than 2c per teabag.

Was in Tesco Wexford this morning and they are stocking all the garden and BBQ stuff on the aisle where all the Easter eggs were. Any way came across this deal and thought it was good. Picked up two boxes of each one. There was loads left when I was leaving .

Thanks, need new grass seed, threw down a box of it a few weeks ago but it must've been all dead, nothing came up.

Thanks re grass seed. Some decent 75% off offers in the gardening section.

Bit of a bum deal on the Easter eggs though. Some are half price like the €6 ones down to €3 and single creme eggs 39c. Hopefully in a few days they'll drop a bit more.

Beef paste? Is it like a cheap version of Bovril?

We sometimes used to get shippams meat pastes when I was a kid; these look like the same sort of thing - they are like cheap paté, they're kinda salty but really too bland to be actually revolting.

some really good deals there, see list here https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/SpecialOffers/SpecialOfferDetail/Default.aspx?promoId=R32641332

kimberly are 300g, mikado 250g, c creams 200g. No wonder I have not bought them in years looking at the regular price!

Just back and my tesco was fully stocked, like it was just put out, I remember in the past these deals get snapped up with only the dud offers left so get in quick, though there are no total duds.

Best thing about that beef paste is if you scroll down to the description:

Where TF did the chicken come from?

Its for texture purposes, though doubtless it also helps with other properties.
I'm turning green thinking about it though.

There’s a review of the Tesco Value Ham and Beef Paste here: https://www.barelyedible.co.uk/2011/02/tesco-value-ham-and-beef-paste/

I’d say the fancy Beef Paste would be a delicacy in comparison.

I was in Tesco Mitchelstown and they had a good bit of wine reduced to clear all under €5 from what I saw.
    I'm not a wine man so I haven't a clue about it.

walker crisps were cheap but no yellow label in the shop, my prawn cocktail 6 pack was dated end of july 2019 so I guess they are reducing early enough without going to giveaway prices. Not sure if all are that date, they show as offers online. I would usually get the lidl or aldi largest multipack bags which are grand quality, but I do especially like prawn cocktail
