Great sigh of relief here as this is the one space in this week and more the ferry can be sure of getting across and back. So the neighbours are over shopping for supplies and my groceries for two weeks will be safe here before this next gale hits .. I do have spare stock but all the same!

We live within the weather and it rules us to some extent..i

Lovely and peaceful now and enjoying it before the next bout

A windy spell ahead on coasts and especially in the Irish Sea over the coming days.

The night falls early, quietening the heart and stilling the mind. Utterly still out there. There was another heavy shower as I was decanting the huge abundance of food into smaller containers to bring it in from the drive. Air so fresh and sweet it was a joy to be out in it.

So all is well, and let come what may the next few days.

Almost dark. Last light in utter peace.

And the wind has arrived, sudden and loud, with deluging rain on its breath...

That was cutting it fine with the ferry!

    Batten everything down folks!

it sure is,all we need now is some sleety wet snow and it would be a proper atlantic winters night, the wind howling and candles lit,i just love this time of year.

the wind steadily rising here on the west coast,iv put extra cable ties on my christmas lights and on my hands.

it looks like a raw cold weekend brrrrr winter is in full swing.

Ferocious wind for the last hour near Glen of the Downs.....much worse than anything over the last week

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,634 ✭✭✭✭Graces7

Just lost a whole message; I blame the gale!

A fierce and fearsome wind is this one. No manners and evil intent! Battering with deluges on its breath

    Flinching instinctively. Endurance, not enjoyment

    And bitterly cold.

    " This too shall pass".

Grumble grouse, grouse grumble! lol,,, strong roof and straight walls, food and all needed, and with such a narrow margin y'day. That was truly wonderful...

    BE QUIET!

PS no idea how that thumbs down got here or how to delete it! Ah well! the wind did it...
