Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know how long the Digital receipt is stored for? Reason I ask is for electrical goods as Im always loosing receipt, if only limited time ie less then 2 years it might be an idea to screen print any digital receipts with warranty type Items on them

You can easily download or share (email to yourself) any of the receipts when you open them in the app from the three dots at the top right hand side.

That's odd, the scratchcard this week Thu-Wed should be
    €1 off
    cup-a-soup/snack pot
    family shampoo/dragees

Beware, the snack pots are not the ones pictured. Lidl sells the 7 types under 2 product codes. The 4 pots pictured are the wrong ones. The 3 you can get with the voucher are cranberry/cashew, and I don't remember the other 2 but they'll be in the same cardboard box.

Yes, but if you go say weekly-ish, you would have had €1 off, then €1 off, and then the snack pots later that week.

    e1 off on scratchcard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,843 ✭✭✭Buffman

My last 3 have been €1 off. I prefer that than a random thing I mightn't need that probably won't be in stock.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

It's the most practical, but you miss the fun of pretending you are on supermarket sweep going aroudn the shop searching for random things :D

Same, I've two freebies to get. Ones a cup of soup and the other is a shampoo. Neither in stock this morning. And the voucher I got this morning was for iced tea or jelly beans.

I think that Lidl is great but the app is a bit useless.

I spent 100 euro on shopping and saved 16 cent with the app (on coleslaw).

    Why bother?

I think it's good this week for me, coleslaw, ketchup, mixed peppers, choc doughnuts, cherry vine tomatoes and head and shoulders shampoo.
All by two as using my son's app too.

Theres a lot of water in that American streaky bacon, it shrivelled up to about half its size in the frying pan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,795 ✭✭✭FortuneChip

That american bacon isn't gonna give you a good breakfast, but it's good for adding into things.

I put it in the oven for 15-20 minutes (shrivelled right down) and then disentigrated some of it in a blender to make bacon dust - a great topping for pasta, risotto etc.

It's also good for sambos, burgers because it does crisp well.

Wouldn't buy it for not for special.

Quite happy with these week's items. Got most of them and had my euro off to use.

I love the American bacon but I also dislike traditional rashers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,109 ✭✭✭The Ayatolla

The Lidl "American Style" bacon is basically the same as their "Glensallagh" streaky bacon just in a Stars n' Stripes package.

Will be getting the half roast duck with hoisin sauce. Have had it before and its decent enough. iirc the usual price is 5.99 so 3.99 is well worth it

Yeah, I can't wait to get this one :) They're probably getting the message that I'll buy anything if they send a coupon for it :o

Iirc this was always €5.99, but now it’s €6.99 with €2.00 off so €4.99, but for me this is really €1.00 off as they increased the price
