FIFA 13 - how to play 2 player game

Hello, I have just bought FIFA 13 for the Nintendo wii for my 2 boys. But I can't figure out how to play a 2 player game. They can both play on the same team but they can't play against one another. Am I missing something obvious? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks...Mummy Westieman...:confused:
