Not sure if they want to get into Europe and US with Sharp brand as they were pushing their own LeEco brand in Americas and opened large office in Silicon Valley few years ago (that ended up bad , but its different story). LeEco is very very big in china , its like Netflix of china with their LeTV service + million types of electronics

If its the same company , looks like they are pushing both brands side by side , as Sharp had decent smartphones last few years , one of the first full screen smartphone with the notch (sharp s2). Also checked the wiki for LeEco , and not a word about Sharp. Maybe LeEco was just a making phones for sharp and later decided to enter the market on their own , just like Foxconn and HTC .

Anyway , i know specs are not the best compared with S9, OnePlus6 and Razor , but for the money its very good phone imho.
