Wet patch under the hood

Any pictures. Where in the engine bay is it. Colour?

It's under the coolant and brake/clutch bottles. Wash off the area and see if it returns. Or look for leaks under the tow bottles. Did you fill either in the last while.

I think Jayzeus hit the nail on the head, some engine mounts do hold fluid and function like a shock absorber. I'd say it needs changing, there is a fluid bottle above it but to me the spillage looks like it is leaking out from the engine mount itself and not dripping from above as that's the exact area where the fluid is supposed to be retained

Thanks very much...it must be the mount...never knew they had a fluid in them

Its defo not from the coolant or sterring fluid as everything is bone dry..

She still has a few months warranty so i will get ford to fix it....

If it's going in for a warranty repair I'd request that they check the other mount also and maybe even the gearbox mount underneath. I think its just those 3. At least then if they say the others are okay it'll be on the receipt and if something happens to them shortly after warranty you might get them changed under goodwill. Grab the engine near the bad mount and give it a shake back and forth and see is the movement a lot less or the same as when you do it on the right side
