Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Planning permission and fire cert for cafe

Hi guys, similar questions have been asked before but I cannot find anything in the thread covering this specific area. I am hoping to open a cafe with no seating for now and no cooking on site. I have a location in a town centre that will require change of use planning permission. Typically this may take upto 12 weeks which I am fine with.

However, the architect I met on site claimed that we could only apply for a new fire cert once the change of use had been granted and therefore could add another 3 months before we could open our doors.

Is this true? It's the first I've heard of it. Or is it possible to have the planning application and the fire cert application submitted simultaneously?

I will call the planning department on Monday to find out, however I was hoping somebody here may have experience in a similar situation, thanks.
