Apply for change in planning while under appeal

    Scenario...

    You have planning permission
    The permission is under appeal at ABP
    You want to make a change to the drawings and that requires new planning permission (increase floor area of room at back of house - not visible from front)

    Taking an optimistic view that ABP will uphold permission granted.

    Can you apply for a change in planning while the ABP appeal is ongoing?

    Reason is to save time

    It's possible the council could invalidate the application because there is an appeal on going.

    Contact the local authority and ask

    You don't have PP until the appeal is decided.

    It’s a full planning from scratch. It’s not an alteration until ABP make their decision.
    ie. you currently don’t have planning until the ABP Decision.
