Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Possibility or rough ballpark cost just from photos?

Hey, I'm looking at possible 2nd hand houses to buy. I'm wondering what sort of things professionals could tell you immediately, before you start bidding or get an engineer in, simply by looking at photos?

E.g. say external wall insulation - would a few pics and details like size of house and age be enough to get a rough estimate? Or even to say if its likely possible or not?

I'd also love to know if under floor heating and heat pump is realistic, before I make a bid, but I assume that would be beyond the powers of an expert with no more than a few photos...

    Thanks.

It will be money down the drain in my opinion.
How much do you expect that these guys will charge you and their opinion will be simply visual and subject to full site survey and tender.
