Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I am buying an old cottage with land ...will i automatically be entitled to restore it and use as a holiday home and possibly live there in the future ?

Maybe 15 or 20 years since anyone lived in the home or possibly more.

Do i need to get planning to restore ?

    All tips welcome ?

Is the most difficult issue to get permission for septic tank etc ?

    thanks

Best advice is knock it and start over. Depending on its age, they're all a money pit.
Romantic idea but for your own sake do costings first, if not already done. You will buy something newer for less, in the long run.
Septic Tank, by time you do tests and probably have to go treatment system, about 7 grand before you do anything else.
Probably no insulation either.. Get someone to have good look before you buy....
