Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You obviously mistakenly posted in the takeaway thread instead of the smug domestic cooking one.

We have enough ****e food as it is...

I made toad in the hole. Twas grand.

I generally find takeaways not to be worth the money and sometimes more hassle than cooking for oneself. I enjoy cooking and either do that or eat out. We rarely order takeaways.

Well we usually get a take away on a Saturday but I had a bad day yesterday and my oh decided to cheer me up by cooking a nice meal which was lovely. Does it make you feel better to know I was having a bad day? Maybe try taking posts at face value rather than trying to turn them into something negative and not personally directed at you or anyone else, in future.

Is andekwarhola your OH ? and now you're giving out to him cause he made you have a bad day and trying to make him feel guilty so you can get more good stuff out of him.

I would get a chicken Karahi, pilau rice, onion bhaji and naan bread from Bombay Pantry.
    I WOULD but I haven't in about 6 months.
I just had a margherita pizza from Tesco last night, with salad.

I'd love an Indian take away.. Chinese just doesn't do it... Unfortunately, it has the power to kill me... (anaphylactic)

I was supposed to have a cheese toasty with my wine last night, but the lazy won and I just had a bag of crisps.... king.. cheese and onion...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,398 ✭✭✭whatdoicare

I'm not allowed takeaways anymore, I has the fat. :(

But back in the day it was a crispy chilli beef with rice, a hot and sour soup starter all washed down with a zinfandel. yum.

Plenty of subways open late. Prefer them for lunch during the week though unless I'm hungover then they make a good sat evening dinner.

Had a Chinese first time in months last night. Utter kack. Hardly qualified as food.

I dunno, I always find Bombay Pantry disappointing and expensive.

We do. Fleet Street in Dublin. Close to the corner with Westmorland St. One of those subway in a shop jobs.

Pointless. There's a Zaytoon down the road.

How the ****? I wish I could do this tbh, I couldn't function for a week, I already hate looking at myself, can't imagine the depression I'd feel waking up after this.

I'm making up for yesterday's subway lunch followed by Chinese for dinner by having an unreal steak (healthy) dinner tonight... Prob a bit late but I resisted the temptation of another take away.

An unreal steak? Is synthetic meat on the market already?
I'd be curious to know what your idea of a "healthy" dinner is too :D

Sirloin steak, veg, home made gravy. Despite me making this thread I'm quite the fitness fanatic, I just have one hell of a fat Saturday every week.

Faffed about wondering what to have for dinner for so long that I just ended up eating a big bag of Doritos for dinner.

They're about 2000 calories a bag though, so it's KIND of like a dinner....
