Entitled to relief on part time diploma?

Hi there

My friend spent 2350 on a diploma from the King's Inn which lasted a year

Is he allowed any tax back on this by way of credit?

https://www.revenue.ie/en/personal-tax-credits-reliefs-and-exemptions/education/tuition-fees-paid-for-third-level-education/index.aspx

Depends on whether the course is approved by Revenue. The first €3,000 is disregarded for of a full-time student or €1,500 for of a part-time student.

How would one find out if it was approved by revenue?

I'm on mobile so it may appear different if on desktop. There is a menu option at the top for me "7. Approved colleges and courses" if you select that and scroll down that page there are pdf lists that can be downloaded for each year of entry/course type to check.
