First of all Thank you to all those who liked it and secondly thanks to Myksyk for pulling all of this together every week. I love looking at the Weekly POTW's, some great shots from some very talented photographers. Well done to all the HM's
My shield bug was taken in the Anne Valley in Dunhill Co.Waterford, a great place for the Damselflies. This particular morning I was having no luck in my hunt for them and I was stopped looking at some of the many birds that frequent the area when this little fella flew right past me and landed on a leaf right next to me and sat there posing for the best part of 5 minutes.
Shot on a Canon 5D Mark IV with a Tamron SP 90mm Macro lens with a ring flash attached.
Settings F/8, 1/200 sec ISO 250 and processed in LR.
