Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First of all a special thanks to Myksyk for all the effort he puts in on running this thread and also congrats to all the HM’s
This shot was taken on the River Boyne. The heron with his catch was around 70m away from me on the opposite bank. Like the heron I had to wait patiently for around 90 minutes before he quickly struck and landed a fine trout. The heron then takes his fish from the river and moves to higher ground where there is no chance of loosing his catch and goes through the motion of swallowing it. This can take some time if its a very large fish as in this case resulting in more photographs.
Camera info as follows Nikon D500 Nikon 200-500mm F5.6 Nikon 1.4 teleconverter equating to 980mm at F8 1/1000 ISO 2800. Processed in Lightroom and Affinity Photo.
