just wondering what the general opinion on this is. i think it was brilliant when yorkie had the "not for girls" thing written on them, especially nowadays when everything is so politically correct. personally i think yes they are too big for handbags :D

Thats the reason they did it. No publicity is bad publicity. There were girls on RTE complaining about it last year, thats what they want.

I wonder where Memphis' post went.

It's all harmless marketing, it's funny, who really cares? It's not like they're serious.

    Yorkie ad;

Woman goes to footbal game, wearing the local teams shirt.
"Oh, look, she's wearing the same top as me; I'm going home"

    =-=

    Funny 'cos its true.

I think there is the start of an anti PC backlash. Anyone see the Tesco's insurance TV advert. At Tesco insurance we give careful male drivers the same 10% discount we give our 'Careful Female Drivers' (said as a careful woman driver reverses her car into the back of another car (with a bloke in) while trying to parallel park)

    Classic!! :D:D

personally it refreshing to see some advertisments that arent so PC. Remember when they had to change the gollywog wrapper

Pretty dumb ad campaign tbh and you'd have to wonder why these so-called macho men are so good at managing large objects in their mouths!

The yorkie choclate isnt that nice.
Im sure if you eat enough of them
    you'll eventually break a tooth.
Theyre solid bars. (are they German made by any chance :D )

Isnt there a chocolte forum for this?
Anyway I don't really like yorkies. I prefer double cream bars, or galaxies, Yorkies hurt my teeth.

Shall we start calling you Blisterwoman then :)?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly - I see two chocolate threads in here. Seems as though the chocolate forum isn't being noticed but, then again, it is in an obscure enough place...

    Hey, I'm all man.
I don't eat chocolate anyway. Too many calories.

    Women can give birth.

So I'd have to say, no.

The whole "Yorkie, not for girls!" campaign has been a strange one. It is probably one of the most offensive, degrading, sexist add campaigns ever, yet it's not something you hear people complain about! If anyone pays any atention to adds you might remember the 'Thai Bites' add. I remember people complained about that because it gave false images of thai culture despite the fact it was one of the least offensive adds I've ever seen in my life. The message of the add was completely obvious and was the exact opposite of what the people were complaing about. People need to get their priorities sorted!
All summer long my Brother had a job in some crappy little shop and for two solid months he refused to sell Yorkies to girls.

    Women can give birth.

So I'd have to say, no.

different orifice though, so the baby/yorkie comparison has a poor foundation.

I like to eat them two chunks at a time, ROOOOAAAAAARRRRR, i'm a man, me.
